Three "New Make" casks from Ardmore with an appealing potential for value appreciation.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 980 EUR in 8 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 2.2% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 8.8% per year.
  • Owner with influence 🚀: Over the years, the Ardmore Distillery has changed owners several times. Since 2014, Ardmore has been owned by Beam Suntory, which also holds Laphroaig and Bowmore in its portfolio.

Why Ardmore?
Historical Resilience and Strategic Location
Nestled at the highest point of the Northern railway line, 600 feet above sea level, The Ardmore distillery boasts a strategic location that played a pivotal role in its historical success. Founder Adam Teacher's foresight in choosing a site close to the railway line allowed for efficient transportation of materials, contributing to the distillery's flourishing. This historical resilience, combined with its strategic positioning, provides a strong foundation for investment.

Timeless Craftsmanship and Natural Water Source
The Ardmore's commitment to its roots is exemplified by its unchanged practices, including sourcing water from the naturally rising springs on the 1,500-foot-tall Knockandy Hill. This commitment to timeless craftsmanship and the use of natural water sources not only preserves the distillery's heritage but also enhances the perception of authenticity, attracting investors seeking investments rooted in traditional, high-quality production methods.

Integration with Nature and Highland Culture
The rugged fringes of the Highlands inspire The Ardmore's connection with nature. This integration with the great outdoors, reflected in every drop of whisky, resonates with consumers who appreciate products aligned with natural elements. Investors can capitalize on the brand's alignment with Highland culture and nature-centric marketing, tapping into the growing demand for products that embody a genuine connection to their origins.

Historical Significance and Ownership Stability
Established in 1898 by Adam Teacher, The Ardmore has maintained stability within the Teacher's family and, later, under Beam Suntory's ownership. The distillery's historical significance as part of the Teacher's stable and subsequent transition to Beam Suntory's portfolio provides investors with a sense of ownership stability, essential for long-term investment strategies.

Niche Appeal and Independent Bottlings
Ardmore's unique characteristics, including its peatiness and apple/floral notes, have cultivated a dedicated following among single malt aficionados. The availability of independent bottlings from reputable sources like Gordon & MacPhail and Signatory Vintage adds a layer of exclusivity and niche appeal. Investors seeking opportunities in the whisky market can benefit from this niche market segment and the potential for appreciation in value over time.

Innovation and Diversification
The distillery's adaptation to market changes, such as the introduction of an unpeated variant called Ardlair, showcases a commitment to innovation and diversification. This ability to evolve with consumer preferences positions The Ardmore as a dynamic player in the whisky industry. Investors looking for opportunities with a forward-thinking and adaptable distillery can find appeal in Ardmore's willingness to experiment and diversify its product offerings.

  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 2.1% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 7.6% per year.
  • Low Volatility 💎: The Gemval Aggregate Index (GVA) shows a minimal volatility of around 4%, offering ideal stability for any investment portfolio.

Why Invest in Sapphires?

Tangible Asset
Sapphires are a tangible asset that you can physically possess. Unlike stocks or bonds, you can store and enjoy them in a physical form.

Protection Against Inflation
Similar to other tangible assets like real estate and gold, sapphires can serve as a hedge against inflation. Their value may increase over time and keep pace with or outpace inflation rates.

Portability
Sapphires are highly portable and can be easily transported, making them a potentially valuable asset for international diversification.

Low Correlation
High-quality gemstones have a low correlation with traditional financial markets, meaning their value does not always move in line with stocks, bonds, or other investments. This can be advantageous for diversification purposes.

Low Volatility
The Gemval Aggregate Index (GAV) has had an annual volatility of just under 4% since 2006.

Intrinsic Value
Gemstones have intrinsic value due to their rarity and the resources required for their extraction and processing. This value can provide investors with a certain level of security.

Why This Gemstone?

Focus on Liquidity in Terms of Size and Quality
Sapphires ranging from 4 to 6 carats, which are untreated, are considered high-quality gemstones highly valued in the jewelry industry and therefore liquid. These gemstones are often used in high-end jewelry as they are considered rare and valuable.

High Color Intensity and Highest Clarity
The gemstone exhibits "vivid blue", one of the highest color intensities. The stone is "eye clear", representing the highest quality.

Lower Entry Price
By adopting a direct supply chain, our expert eliminates intermediaries, which should positively impact the return on investment.

The prices of luxury watches have corrected significantly over the past two years. There has rarely been a better time to invest in a new watch.

Why Invest in the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak?

vThe Legacy of Audemars Piguet
The Audemars Piguet manufactory was founded in 1875. The Royal Oak celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022 and is one of the most popular watches in the world.

Production and Exclusivity
Audemars Piguet produces a maximum of 40,000 watches per year, with only a fraction of these being Royal Oaks. In comparison, Rolex produces around 1,000,000 watches annually.

A Revolutionary Concept
The Royal Oak is an exclusive watch that adapts to the lifestyle of its owner - not the other way around. While this may seem almost self-evident today, it was by no means a given in the early 1970s. At that time, the gap between sports and elegant watches seemed insurmountable, but in the wake of the cultural changes of the era, it became common to eliminate all differences.

The Pioneer of Luxury Sports Watches
The Royal Oak was the first timepiece designed as a high-end sports watch. Since then, it has continually renewed its stylistic features, setting distinctive accents in each era. Fifty years later, the collection includes more than 500 models, reflecting five decades of creative design.

Celebrating 50 Years with the Latest Model
This 41-mm chronograph in stainless steel features a silver-colored dial with a "Grande Tapisserie" pattern, skillfully complementing the sleeker design of the new Royal Oak development. It is also equipped with the ""50 Years"" oscillating weight.

Performance of the Audemars Piguet 26331ST.OO.1220ST.03
This reference has appreciated over 116% in value over the past five years. In the past year, the average days on the market for Audemars Piguet 26331ST.OO.1220ST.03 listings was 93.2 days. The median days on the market was 34 days, with 25% of listings selling within 10 days and 75% selling within 92 days. The volatility is low at 6%, and a total of 211 models were traded on the secondary market over the past 12 months.

Albert Willem captivates the art world with his works. Following our first successful Willem exit, we now present another masterpiece.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 970 EUR in 4 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 2.7% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be an impressive 18.0% per year.
  • Auction Prices 🔨: Albert Willem has become well-known in the art world because his artworks regularly sell for prices much higher than expected, achieving an astonishing 509% increase in the past 36 months.

"Albert Willem is a Belgian artist who started painting at 36 and quickly established himself on lnstagram. His work broke out onto the auction market in May 2022 and rapidly peaked at $213,955 by the end of the Spring. In January 2023, a bidder pushed the artist's record to $295,219 at Sotheby's with The mountain air provided a pleasant atmosphere." - James Kerbey, Expert at Maddox Advisory

Why Albert Willem?

Belgium (1979)
Albert Willem, a contemporary figurative artist from Brussels, is renowned for his whimsical paintings characterized by a naive style infused with wit and humor. Despite lacking formal art training, he immersed himself in galleries, museums, and the art scenes on social media platforms. Although he showed talent for drawing in childhood, he set aside art from the ages of 12 to 36 due to university and family obligations. Approximately four years ago, he reignited his passion by creating a painting for his home decor, marking a turning point he amusingly refers to as a "midlife crisis."

Artistic Style
Over time, Willem has explored various mediums and techniques, ranging from nail polish to spray paint to textile art. Presently, he primarily utilizes acrylic paint with a high gloss varnish to achieve vibrant colors. While the majority of his works are on canvas, he also utilizes repurposed cardboard as a painting surface. His artistic process is rapid, often completing pieces within 48 hours at most.

About His Artwork
His paintings are straightforward, at times appearing unfinished, boldly showcasing his rudimentary technical skills while capturing the raw energy of a beginner unrestricted by artistic conventions. Depicting everyday life in a light-hearted yet ironic manner, his works frequently portray humorous moments, drawing inspiration from artists such as LS Lowry, James Ensor, and Breugel the Elder but infused with a contemporary twist. Willem has exhibited his works internationally in Germany, Russia, and Belgium.

The Infinite Conga
In January 2021, Willem embarked on a project to paint a 'never-ending conga line,' continuously adding more cardboard pieces adorned with dancing figures to extend its length. The artwork can be divided for sale, allowing buyers to own segments of the dance and participate in the art collectively.

Rising Star
Willem attributes much of his artistic journey to social media, spending hours daily observing and learning from fellow artists. He believes that exposure to new art continually evolves his own style, driving him to experiment with different themes and techniques.

Presence in Auctions
Willem's rapid ascent to fame has been remarkable, with his works consistently surpassing estimated values by significant margins. His debut painting, Pilgrim Street 8 (2021), sold for $69,000, far exceeding its estimated value of $8,000 to $12,000. His record sale, Snowbound (2021), fetched an astonishing $225,000 at Sotheby's Hong Kong, despite an estimate of $13,000 to $19,000. Half of the 14 works sold at auction in 2022 fetched over $150,000, despite modest estimates.

Förg is regarded as one of the most important German artists of the post-war generation. His work has received critical acclaim and recognition in the art world, making it highly sought-after among collectors and investors.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 958 EUR in 3 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 3.8% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be an impressive 24.2% per year.
  • Prestigious Galleries 🔥: Since 2018, Förg's Estate has been represented by Hauser & Wirth, one of the most prestigious galleries worldwide, which has contributed to introducing the artist's work to wider audiences and new generations internationally through multiple exhibitions. Several other renowned galleries, including Almine Rech, Galerie Lelong & Co, and the German dealers, Galerie Max Hetzler and Galerie Thomas, have been very active in the artist’s secondary market, offering significant potential for long-term appreciation in the value of Förg's works. From 2021 to 2024, prices have surged by + 84% from selected comparable auction sales.

Why Invest in Günther Förg?
A Visionary Artist
Born in 1952 and deceased in 2013, Günther Förg emerged as one of Germany's most significant artists of the post-war generation, heralding a new era of artistic exploration and pushing the boundaries of traditional mediums. One of the defining characteristics of Förg's oeuvre is its remarkable diversity. He seamlessly moved between sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, and drawing, often blending these mediums to create hybrid works that challenged artistic conventions. This interdisciplinary approach foreshadowed the rise of installation art, making Förg a visionary ahead of his time.

Early Years and Conceptual Foundations
He studied at The Academy of Fine Art Munich from 1973 until 1979. During these early years, Förg painted almost exclusively black monochrome acrylic paintings with a translucent gray coat, giving a veiled surface effect. These early investigations into monochrome and abstraction were the foundation of his commitment to Conceptualism against the predominant trend of figurative painting at the time.

Photography and International Acclaim
In the early 1980s, Förg temporarily abandoned painting to focus on photography, documenting significant architecture from unique perspectives. His large-format grainy photographic works achieved critical acclaim and were exhibited at major museums internationally.

Blurring Boundaries: Sculpture and Painting
In the late 1980s, Förg returned to painting but with the inclusion of new materials like wood, lead, and bronze, thus blurring the lines between sculpture and painting. When creating bronze sculptures, he treated the surface like brushstrokes, adding a painterly quality to three-dimensional artwork.

The Iconic Grid Paintings
Beginning in the 1990s, the renowned ""Gitterbilder"" (""Grid Paintings"") emerged in Förg's work. A synthesis of sorts, encompassing his experiments with Conceptualism and his research on architecture, the grid paintings created the illusion of space and structure. Later, Förg incorporated a brighter palette and a more expressive touch to his grids through the use of intersecting colors and vibrant brushstrokes.

Works on Paper and Modernist Legacy
Förg also delved into works on paper, applying acrylic, oil, and gouache onto various surfaces with gestural fluency. Working in various scales, he approached his work with gestural fluency and an improvisational hand, addressing formal and chromatic relations on a two-dimensional surface. Throughout his career, Förg remained dedicated to investigating modernism and its legacy, pushing artistic boundaries with each new exploration.

Prestigious Collections
Today, his works are in the collections of the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, the Tate Modern in London, the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Broad in Los Angeles, and the Louisiana Museum of Art in Denmark, among others.

Why invest in Untitled 87 Series
A Unique Medium
The dark watercolors of the series Untitled 87 convey a severity that is unusual for its medium. They remind of a glimpse out of the window where the slowly falling night or a black-painted window glass blocks the direct view of the landscape behind. Occasionally, only a few colored spots light up. Black dominates the image structure, arranging and organizing the composition, at times even dissolving it. In these works, Förg also uses figurative elements. One recognizes window frames, crosses, and even spider webs, but these could also be plain abstract forms.

Prestigious Galleries
Since 2018, the artist’s Estate has been represented by Hauser & Wirth, one of the most prestigious galleries worldwide, which has contributed to introducing Förg’s work to wider audiences and new generations internationally through exhibitions and by supporting the publication of the artist’s catalogue raisonné. From 2021 to 2024, prices have surged by +84% from selected comparable auction sales.

On the Rise
Günther Förg is ranked 119th in Artprice.com's top 500 world rankings of best-selling artists at auction in 2024 based on turnover. He was ranked 158th in 2023 and 167th in 2022. Förg is regarded as one of the most important German artists of the post-war generation. His work has received critical acclaim and recognition in the art world, making it highly sought-after among collectors and investors.

Below Market Value
Prices at auction for similar works—multiple-part watercolors on paper—have increased from $6,144/part in 2021 to $11,300/part in 2024, marking an 84% rise over 2.5 years and averaging a 34% annual increase. Additionally, the artwork offered (“Untitled 87”) was valued at a 34% discount ($7,500/part) to the current market price, providing an extra potential return of 11% annually.

"Everything started with this sneaker! An incredible story and a unique opportunity to invest in a piece of history." - Constantin Philippi, Sneaker Expert

Why Invest in the Nike Air Jordan 1 OG 1985 Bred?
The Most Iconic Silhouette

The Nike “Air Jordan 1” is the most iconic silhouette in sneaker history—both in the streetwear scene and the basketball world. The original Air Jordan 1 from 1985 marks the beginning of the Air Jordan brand for Nike. Designed by Peter Moore, the sneaker has been a timeless classic since its release in 1985.

The Introduction of the Signature Line
In 1984, Nike introduced Michael Jordan's own signature line of shoes and clothing, a decisive step that convinced him to sign with the brand. This groundbreaking approach was the first of its kind for Nike and paved the way for the many player collaborations that followed. The term “Air Jordan” was coined by Michael Jordan’s agent David Falk, inspired by the air-filled soles of Nike shoes and Jordan’s soaring playing style.

A Continuing Tradition
The original Air Jordan 1s were so successful that Nike continued to release new Air Jordan models each season, a tradition that has continued even after Jordan’s retirement. Since their inception, Air Jordans have embodied the pinnacle of sneaker design, known for their quality, craftsmanship, innovative materials, performance, and style.

The “Bred” Model
A notable example is the black and red, or “Bred,” Jordan 1. A pristine pair from 1985, this model gained fame through the controversial “Banned” Nike commercial.

The Controversy of the “Banned” Air Ships
In 1984, Jordan's black and red Air Ships caused a stir when the NBA sent a letter to Nike in February 1985, stating that the shoes violated the league’s uniform regulations. Nike capitalized on this controversy with an ad campaign highlighting Jordan’s “banned” shoes, stating: “The NBA threw them out of the game, fortunately, the NBA can’t stop you from wearing them.”

An Act of Defiance
Despite the ban, Jordan and Nike did not relent. While Jordan excelled in the 1984-1985 season, he continued to wear the shoes and had to pay a $5,000 fine for each game. Nike covered the fines, which was a significant expense for the company at the time, but this act of defiance established a legacy that helped the Jordan brand grow into a company valued at over $2 billion.

The Birth of the Air Jordan Brand
The Air Jordan brand emerged from this iconic campaign and solidified Michael Jordan’s status as a style pioneer in the league.

Historical Value Appreciation
Sold for $64.99 in 1985, few sneakers have seen such a high increase in value. In 2020, a pair sold for $15,120 at Sotheby's, in 2022 for €27,300 at StockX, and in November 2023 for $35,000 at Heritage Auctions. This represents an annualized value increase of 18% over the last 38 years. Logically, there are hardly any new, untouched examples from that year left. Additionally, our example comes with the original hangtag, which is extremely rare.

Why investing in LEGO Ninjago?
Investing in LEGO Ninjago sets can be an appealing option for several reasons, combining factors of collectibility, market demand, and cultural relevance. Here are some key points to consider:

Cultural Impact
LEGO Ninjago has a strong following thanks to its associated TV series and movies. This popularity helps maintain demand for the sets. The continuous release of new sets and storylines keeps the theme fresh and engaging for both new and returning fans.

Limited Availability
Like many LEGO themes, Ninjago sets are often retired after a few years. Once a set is retired, it typically becomes more valuable due to its scarcity. Some sets are released as exclusives or limited editions, increasing their potential for higher future value.

High-Quality Design
Ninjago sets often feature intricate designs, unique minifigures, and special pieces that can appeal to collectors. These sets are designed to be both fun to play with and visually appealing, making them desirable for both kids and adult collectors.

Secondary Market Trends
Many retired Ninjago sets have shown significant appreciation in value on secondary markets like eBay and BrickLink. This trend suggests good investment potential. The strong and active community of LEGO enthusiasts, especially those dedicated to Ninjago, helps sustain the secondary market, driving demand and prices up for coveted sets.

Crossover Appeal
Ninjago often incorporates elements from various genres such as fantasy, martial arts, and science fiction, appealing to a wide audience beyond just LEGO collectors.

Nostalgia Factor
As the Ninjago series ages, it gains nostalgic value. Original fans who grew up with the series may seek out sets as adults, increasing demand and value over time.

Historical Performance
Analysis of past performance shows that certain Ninjago sets have appreciated significantly post-retirement. This can provide a useful indicator for potential future gains.

In summary, investing in LEGO Ninjago sets can be a smart move due to the theme's enduring popularity, the limited availability of sets, and the strong secondary market performance. Collectors and investors can benefit from the unique combination of playability, cultural relevance, and nostalgia associated with these sets.

Wine from the Bordeaux subscription is still significantly younger than already marketed wines and therefore have a considerable potential for value appreciation.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,196 EUR in 9 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 2.4% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 10.2% per year.
  • Affordable Burgundy Wine🍷: Léoville Las Cases is known among wine enthusiasts for its excellent quality at an extremely good price. Due to its quality and popularity, prices are expected to continue rising steadily.

Why Invest in En-Primeur Wine?
This is the first en primeur investment of the year on the platform. With en primeur (futures) wines, you invest in new wine that has not yet been bottled. However, en primeur wine is traded in bottles, not barrels. Buying en primeur wine for investment purposes is similar to the futures market: the wine is purchased before it has matured, as the buyer has a price expectation for the wine in the future.

Why Invest in Wine from Léoville?
Grand Cru Classé

In the exclusive league of Bordeaux wineries, only a few justifiably claim the status of Grand Cru Classé. Among these outstanding names, Château Léoville Las Cases is undoubtedly an icon.

Tradition
The estate has belonged to the Delon family since the second half of the 19th century, and since then, it has established itself as a mainstay in the world of Bordeaux. The release price of the 2023 Leoville Las Cases is a full 40% lower than the 2022 vintage due to higher yields, offering significant potential.

The expectation for the en primeur investment in wine from Château Léoville can be summarized as follows: it is an up-and-coming winery that consistently receives good wine reviews, and its bottle prices offer an excellent price-performance ratio.

These two casks come from the renowned Highland Park Distillery and will already be 10 years old in November 2024.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,000 EUR in 8 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 1.9% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be an impressive 9.0% per year.
  • Powerhouse Edrington💧: Withlaw, like Macallan and Highland Park, is part of the Edrington Group. The whisky is produced at the Highland Park distillery. Withlaw will soon undergo a repositioning aiming to elevate it into a premium brand and a top-shelf whisky.

Why investing in Whitlaw Casks?
Synonymous with Excellence
Whitlaw Whisky is often linked with the prestigious Highland Park Distillery, renowned for its craftsmanship in the picturesque Whitlaw Hills of the Orkney Islands. The unique peat of the Orkneys, distinct from that of the mainland, infuses the whisky with a subtly smoky flavor complemented by aromatic undertones.

Distinctive Flavor Profile
Whitlaw Distillery's style is characterized by a delightful combination of sweet, honeyed, and spicy malt flavors, often accompanied by fruity notes and a lingering, mildly smoky finish. Despite its mysterious origins, Highland Park, the distillery backing Whitlaw, thrived in the latter part of the 19th century, contributing fills for blends.

Rapid Momentum and Growing Popularity
While its initial single malt release didn't occur until the late 1970s, Whitlaw Distillery has gained significant traction since then. Its popularity among whisky enthusiasts is robust, often rivaling the cult status of Ardbeg within the whisky community.

The history of Highland Park
Inception and Expansion
Construction on the site of a former sawmill began in 1878, spearheaded by James Stewart. Financial struggles led to Robert Dick and William Grant taking over, completing construction and starting production in December 1879. Highland Distillers was formed in 1887 through a partnership between Glenrothes and Bunnahabhain, boosting annual output to 1.36 million liters by 1898 with the addition of more stills.

Overcoming Adversity
Fires in 1897 and 1922, as well as a near-destruction by explosion in 1903, posed significant challenges. However, the distillery was resilient, being repaired or rebuilt after each incident. Production was temporarily halted due to Prohibition, World War I, and the Wall Street Crash of 1929, but Glenrothes bounced back, undergoing expansions in 1963 and 1979, including changes in heating methods.

A Shift in Ownership
The sale of Glenrothes Vintage 1979 in 1994 marked a pivotal moment. In 1999, the Edrington Group acquired Highland Distillers, including Glenrothes. Subsequently, in 2010, the rights to the whisky brand were transferred to Berry Bros & Rudd.

The two most iconic sneakers from rap legend Kanye West!

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: AAn investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 991 EUR in 5 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 3.1% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 14.7% per year.
  • Icons👟:Both shoes signify the end of one era and the beginning of another. Both collaborations have earned their own unique place in sneaker history. There has been no more successful partnership between a megastar and a sports brand than that of Adidas and Kanye West. Kanye West himself can be seen as both an opportunity and a risk. However, the past has shown that none of Kanye West's actions have negatively impacted the value of his sneakers.

"We have HERE the two most legendary Kanye West sneakers - the last model of the Nike x Kanye era and the first release of the Adidas collaboration. Both represent absolute pop culture history. Definitely worth the investment!" - Constantin Philippi, Sneaker Experte.

Why Invest in the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October & Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 OG Models?
About the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October

Kanye West designed his first Nike shoe on a flight from Miami to New York, leading to a unique collaboration. West was the first non-athlete to design his own shoe for Nike, supported by Mark Smith and Nathan Van Hook. His vision combined elements from the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 3, Air Trainer 3, and Air Mag.

The Air Yeezy was unveiled at the Grammys in 2008 and released in 2009, creating significant hype. Three limited colorways followed. The Air Yeezy 2 continued this success from 2012, with a particularly coveted model: the Yeezy 2 Red October (released in 2014). This model was announced unexpectedly on Twitter and sold out within seconds.

The bright red color grabs everyone's attention and makes it the highlight of any outfit. The only other color detail is the metallic gold tips of the laces, which stand out perfectly against the monochrome design. This shoe is an essential piece for any sneaker collection.

The Red October marked the end of the collaboration between Kanye and Nike. Kanye left Nike because he was not granted royalties despite the huge success of his designs. In a 2018 interview, he expressed his disappointment about this.

The Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October is considered not only an absolute Holy Grail among sneaker collectors but also marks the end of the collaboration between Nike and Kanye West. The shoe represents pop culture and also ushered in a new era in the sneaker world. Since its release, sneakers have increasingly been seen as investments. The original sale price was $250 in 2014. The latest sale in size US 10.5 on StockX was €18,000, and general sale prices often reach €23,000. Size matters here too; larger sizes, like US 10.5, are more popular and rarer.

About the Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 OG
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 OG, Kanye’s first collaboration with Adidas, revolutionized the sneaker world when it was released in 2015. The sneaker features a striking, minimalist design with high-quality grey suede, a prominent midfoot strap, and a side zipper enclosure. The innovative Boost sole provides unparalleled comfort and cushioning. This model, which combines Kanye’s aesthetic sense with Adidas' technological expertise, quickly became a coveted collector’s item and marked the beginning of an iconic partnership between the rapper and the sports brand. The Yeezy Boost 750 OG remains a milestone in sneaker history and a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts worldwide. The release price in 2015 was $350.

The Yeezy Boost 750 OG by Adidas marks the beginning of the legendary collaboration between the rapper and the German sports brand. It was the first model to hit the market in 2015, generating enormous hype. However, this collaboration has now ended. A significant portion of Adidas' total revenue came from the sale of Yeezy sneakers.

Several factors suggest positive value development in the future: Kanye West’s fame—everyone knows him—and he is equally a genius and a madman. But everything he touches turns to gold. He always manages to stay in the spotlight (he even ran for the US presidency in 2024). There is hardly a more prominent personality in show business than Kanye West, and he will remain so for a long time! The past has shown that none of Kanye West’s actions have harmed the value of his sneakers.

Also factor in the announcement to dis continue the R8 as Audi move towards the e-tron generation, the early, big engined, manual cars have a real chance of being very hot property." - David Spickett, CEO of TheCarCrowd.

Why the Audi R8 V10?

The Legacy of the Audi R8 V10
Touted as one of the last true manual and naturally aspirated supercars, the Audi R8 V10 is a true motoring icon. The R8 sprung from the racing arena, where Audi had already enjoyed great success with the R8 LMS. The vision behind the R8 was to develop a road car that carried the racing genes of its predecessor. The story of the R8 began in 2006, where Audi unveiled the R8 at the Paris Motor Show. The model was put into production in 2007, originally being a V8, with Audi releasing a V10 variant a year later in 2008. The model was discontinued after its second generation in 2023, ending Audi’s naturally aspirated V10 line up.

Performance and Engineering Excellence
Its mid-mounted, Lamborghini derived, naturally aspirated V10 engine delivers exceptional horsepower and torque. This mated to an excellent gated six-speed manual gearbox (which was subsequently dropped in 2015), gives the driver a truly unparalleled driving experience. With a 0-60 of just under 4 seconds, the naturally aspirated 5.2 litre V10, pushing out 525 PS combined with Audi’s quattro 4wd technology, rockets the R8 to a top speed of 196 mph.

Revolutionary Design and Construction
Featuring a sleek silhouette that resembles a jet more than a road car, the Audi R8 featured revolutionary designing. With an all-aluminium spaceframe chassis wrapped in aluminium panels, the R8 shot Audi into the pole position of supercar design.

Pop Culture Icon and Cultural Phenomenon
However, the R8's most greatest feat is being synonymous with Marvel’s Tony Stark (Iron Man), appearing in no less than six movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This has subsequently given the R8 a strong following whilst also making it a poster car of a generation.

Recognition and Future Prospects
The Audi R8 was featured in the 2023 Hagerty Bull Market list, with Hagerty’s Andrew Frankel stating in another article, he’d anticipate the purity and clarity of the original vision of and the sweetness of the driving experience will become even more highly coveted as we move into an era of electrified and increasingly automated transport.

Why this R8 V10?

Desired By Collectors
This specific Audi R8 is equipped with a Silver Metallic exterior and the iconic Carbon Side Blades over a subtle Black Fine Nappa Leather interior. Its comprehensive features include rare LMX alloy wheels, a Bang & Olufsen surround sound stereo, Audi OEM Passives replacing the Magride suspension and a bespoke leather luggage set amongst other options.
This particular R8 features the desirable 6 speed gated manual gearbox, making it a rare and favourable beast compared the the automatic counterpart.
This Audi R8 is in perfect showroom mechanical and cosmetic condition, fresh from a brand new service with a brake fluid change and a faultless pre-sale inspection. This R8 also benefits from a fully documented service history with a complete service book, invoices and much more.
This Audi R8 V10 meets many conditions of TheCarCrowd investment thesis. Being a true poster car of the early 00's, with blistering performance, iconic styling and a star from the films shows strong potential for appreciation. Combine this with the strong YOY appreciation figure since 2018 and an ever growing fan base, the Audi R8 V10 forms a very strong case for investment.

True Investment Mileage
This particular example has covered around 2000 miles per year in its 14 years of life giving it a truly low, rare, and investible mileage.

Past Performance
The Audi R8 V10 market as a whole has experienced a 47.4% growth since 2018 giving a YoY of 9.48%.

His work has been collected by major museums worldwide and featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. This widespread acclaim not only solidifies his market reputation but also garners institutional validation.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,189 EUR in 5 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 3.0% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be an impressive 18.9% per year.
  • Market Traction 🔥: The recent displays of similar pictures at the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center in Nyack and Dylan Brant Fine Art in Palm Beach, alongside Gladstone Gallery, which began representing Salle last year and actively sells these types of pictures, are expected to bolster the value and trajectory of this series of artworks.

Why invest in David Salle?
David Salle is an American artist who was born in Norman, Oklahoma, in September 1952 and lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He is recognized for his paintings and other works that juxtapose contrasting visual elements from popular culture. His creations often include allusions to Pop Art, imbued with a surrealistic vision.

Early Beginnings and Education
Salle came to art at a very young age. By the time he was eight years old, he was learning life drawing, and during high school, he regularly attended art classes. He later studied at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), earning a BFA in 1973 and an MFA in 1975, and trained under artists such as John Baldessari and Vito Acconci.

Rise to Prominence
The artist rose to prominence in the 1980s alongside a generation of painters like Julian Schnabel and Eric Fischl, who were working in a new expressionist mode. He is also associated with Pictures Generation artists such as Cindy Sherman, Barbara Kruger, and Richard Prince, who reimagined mass-media imagery and advertisements in their works. Salle's first major gallery exposure was with Mary Boone, the renowned talent discoverer, who first exhibited his work in 1981.

Representation and Recognition
Today, Salle is represented by prestigious international galleries: Gladstone Gallery in New York and Brussels Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris and London Max Hetzler in Berlin Lehmann Maupin in Asia Skarstedt, the blue-chip gallery that hosted seven solo shows by Salle over the past decade, will remain active in the secondary market, though the artist is now represented by Gladstone in New York.

Artistic Legacy
Salle's paintings have been shown in solo and group exhibitions and in major international exhibitions in museums and galleries worldwide for over forty years. His work can be found in the permanent collections of numerous prestigious institutions around the globe.

Artistic Style and Philosophy
Salle is also a prolific writer and critic whose essays and interviews have been published in various prestigious publications. His work is known for its compression and concision, exploring image juxtapositions and pairings of scale, color, and touch. Salle's paintings often feature background details drawn from advertisements, magazine photos, and newspaper articles, inviting viewers to decipher their conceptual connections to the foreground imagery.

"In these paintings, I'm interested in compression and concision – the haiku rather than the ode. I'm working not just with image juxtapositions, but also with pairings of scale, color, touch and so forth. I want to see one thing through another; the so-called 'background' is really another character." - David Salle".

LeBron is the only NBA player to achieve 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists, a milestone likely unmatched for years. Plus, on February 8, 2023, he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the league's all-time leading scorer.

Why invest in Lebron James?

Rewriting Basketball History: LeBron James's Legacy
Records are meant to be broken, and that's precisely why they're set in the first place. Some may seem unattainable, appearing almost beyond human capability. Yet, there are instances where seemingly insurmountable records are indeed surpassed. Once again, LeBron James continues to redefine NBA history, a trend he's upheld since his rookie season 21 years ago. Even after two decades, he's still setting and breaking records. Who would have imagined that he would eventually surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time leading scorer?

LeBron's Unrivaled Legacy: Noteworthy Achievements
LeBron James has accumulated a plethora of records, leading some to speculate that certain feats may be unattainable. Here are just a few of these noteworthy records: LeBron James made history as the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, subsequently becoming a four-time MVP and a consistent All-Star. He ranks second in both All-Star appearances and games played. LeBron is the only NBA player to achieve 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists, a milestone likely to remain unmatched for years. Moreover, on February 8, 2023, he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the league's all-time leading scorer.

The End of an Era: LeBron's Legacy Continues
Despite LeBron James still being an active player and maintaining his skills despite his advancing age, rumors circulating the market suggest that his next signing may be his final one, marking the nearing end of his career within the next few years. Typically, such speculation tends to drive up memorabilia prices.

Why this game worn Shoe?
Here is a unique opportunity to own a pair of game-used basketball shoes from one of the greatest basketball players to ever lace up a pair of high tops. They were worn in a game against the Denver Nuggets on 3/14/14 in which James scored 21 points with six rebounds and six assists and three steals.
The Heat went on to make their fourth consecutive NBA Finals appearance that season, falling just short of winning their third straight title. James has autographed and inscribed 'vs. Nuggets 3/14/14' on this limited edition (1) pair of game-used Nike shoes in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.

Overwhelmed at that time by the frenzy of Manhattan, Dodd-Noble found that drawing the city's trees had a stabilizing effect on her. Over time, she began to transpose them into invented environments, building saturated skies and population zero expanses around idealized versions of real trees she had encountered. Dodd-Noble's works feature caricatured versions of canonical landscape paintings. Through landscapes, she explores themes such as environmentalism and the human relationship with nature. Her bucolic, technicolor yet simple landscapes aim to raise awareness about environmental conservation. They have a dreamlike atmosphere thanks to her meticulous work in the use of color and light. The softness of the forms transports us to a world where innocence prevails.

Seeing the world through her eyes
She now resides in London and has since focused her vision on trees from her native country, the UK, Costa Rica, and southern France, where she recently completed a residency at Bloom Galerie. As much as Dodd-Noble's vibrant reproductions evoke a pre-anthropocene innocence, she sees them as expressions of self-awareness. "I'm definitely not trying to construct a new 'world,'"" she said. ""I am striving to deepen my own perception of the world around me... and then visually communicate my understanding of the nature of reality and the relationship between us and the world around us."

Exhibitions
Dodd-Noble had her first solo exhibition at Roman Road Gallery, Columbia Hotel (London, 2020). Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Stems Gallery, Ixelles (BEL, 2022); Roman Road Gallery, London (UK, 2022); G/A R T/E N, Como (IT, 2021); Unit Gallery, London (UK, 2021); Bowes-Parris Gallery, London (UK, 2021), and Tchotchke Gallery, New York (USA, 2020). Dodd-Noble has participated in the residency program at L21 Gallery (ES, 2021) where she held her solo exhibitions ""Grounded"" and ""Origins"" in 2022."

Like numerous sought-after sneaker designs, the Nike Off-White Air Jordan 1 NRG White has also been manufactured in restricted numbers. This limited supply contributes to sustaining a high level of demand.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: AAn investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,166 EUR in 5 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 3.3% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 18.5% per year.
  • An Icon👟:They were characterized by their limited availability and high demand. The release caused hysteria among fans willing to pay large sums of money to get them. When they were released in 2018, a pair cost 179 €; currently, prices on the secondary market have skyrocketed.

Why invest in the Nike Off-White Air Jordan 1 NRG White?

The "Nike Off-White Air Jordan 1 NRG White" are a collaboration between Nike and Off-White, a high-end fashion brand founded by Virgil Abloh.
After Nike and Off-White began their legendary collaboration with the "The Ten" collection in 2017, many other models followed in various color combinations. One of the most popular is this interpretation of the Air Jordan 1, which perfectly follows the Chicago colorway version. This time, however, the release was even more limited. The shoes were not released in the European market until 2018, in very limited quantities.

Beginnings
The sneaker is designed by the late Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White and artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's clothing line at the time.
Abloh is known for his innovative approach that challenges the traditional design of sneakers, resonating with a new generation of consumers and bridging the gap between urban fashion and luxury fashion. In that release, he deconstructed 10 Nike sneaker models, quite literally. His practical creative process includes the use of Sharpies, zip ties, and X-Acto knives. He described the final result to Nike News saying, ""What we're talking about here is bigger than sneakers, it's bigger than the design culture. It's nothing short of state-of-the-art design. These 10 shoes have broken barriers in performance and style.

Design Details
A particularly iconic moment of this collaboration was the reinterpretation of the legendary Nike Air Jordan 1. This sneaker, which debuted as a basketball shoe and then became a symbol of sneaker culture, received a fresh and avant-garde touch.
The Nike Off-White Air Jordan 1 NRG White sneakers reimagined the classic silhouette of the Air Jordan 1 with a deconstructed aesthetic, bold Helvetica text on the sides, and an iconic zip tie. The avant-garde design of these sneakers represents a fusion of athletic heritage and high-fashion aesthetics. However, the collaboration not only included the Air Jordan 1 but also nine other classic Nike silhouettes, including Nike Air Max 90, Nike Blazer, Nike Presto, and Nike Air VaporMax, all of which were reworked and reinterpreted similarly.

Secondary Market
The Air Jordan 1 x Off-White were also characterized by their limited availability and high demand. The release of the shoes sparked hysteria, and fans were willing to pay large sums of money to get a pair. The sneakers have been very popular in the resale market.
When they were released in 2018, a pair of Nike Off-White Air Jordan 1 NRG White cost €179. If you were one of the lucky ones back then and managed to get a pair, you could expect immediate offers of up to €2,000. But this didn't stop there. Prices in the secondary market have just skyrocketed.

"Step into the world of captivating artworks for sale by the talented Ksenia Pasyura. Born in Ukraine in 1986, the London-based artist is known for her vibrant paintings that explore the human form. Her work blends traditional portraiture with abstract elements, transforming bodies into surreal compositions. She delves into the relationship between the mind and the body, using humour and playful motifs to challenge ideas of beauty and identity." - James Kerbey, Expert at Maddox Advisory.

Who is Ksenia Pasyura and why invest in her?

Ksenia Pasyura, born in 1986, is a visual artist and painter based in London. Her artistic pursuits revolve around a deep exploration of the human body in its various forms. Pasyura's artworks are characterized by a vibrant and dynamic style that blends traditional portraiture with abstract expressionism, offering a surreal perspective on the human form.

Artistic Approach
Delving into the intricate relationship between the mind and body, Ksenia Pasyura portrays human figures in her paintings with distinctive traits like unnaturally wide smiles, disproportionately large feet, and contorted anatomies, intentionally defying traditional gender norms. This deliberate departure from conventional representation underscores her belief that the body acts as a canvas reflecting the intricacies of human psychology and emotions. Using humor and carnival-esque imagery, Pasyura's creations convey layers of complexity and irony, challenging viewers to reassess conventional notions of beauty and identity. Through her portrayal of figures with distorted limbs and enlarged eyes, she encourages contemplation on the essence of embodiment and self-perception. These figures emerge as powerful symbols, encapsulating the contradictions inherent in the human experience.

Exploration of the Grotesque
Pasyura tackles the provocative theme of the grotesque, often marginalized in contemporary culture, by celebrating bodies considered unattractive or unconventional. Her large-scale compositions, characterized by vivid colors, defy societal norms by elevating these ostensibly unpleasant forms. Beyond their visual impact, Pasyura's paintings convey nuanced narratives, where her subjects exude a sense of lightness and joy, challenging established ideals of beauty and provoking reflection on the subjective nature of aesthetics.

Why Invest in Jordi Ribes Art?
Born in 1972 in Spain, Jordi Ribes is an artist based in Barcelona. His work is known for blurring the lines between digital and pictorial expression. He achieves this ambiguity through the unconventional use of oil paint, which, stripped of its usual malleability, produces a polished and indistinct effect, combined with the adoption of electric and artificial colors. The effect serves to fuel the narrative of a fantasy world. This universe features figures filled with references, giving rise to a play of contrasts between the innocent and the perverse, the familiar and the unknown, the real and the fictitious. "I love the ambiguity, the multiplicity of readings," says the artist about the reasons for representing the images in this particular way.

Technique
Ribes digitally sketches his works and then transfers them to canvas using oil paints. His paintings follow a traditional technique but have a completely contemporary finish. His recognizable vertical or horizontal brushstrokes provide a slightly blurred effect, while the almost fluorescent colors evoke the digital realm.

Traditional Technique with a Contemporary Touch
The artist selects objects, beings, and subjects that allow him to enhance this particular pictorial technique. Trunks, grass, hair, curtains, and tunics lend themselves to this play of light and shadow that conveys a certain intrigue. The figures have no faces or fingers, but they convey humanity through the positioning of their bodies or their surroundings. The characters are often in jungles, forests, rivers, often accompanied by some baffling object. It's as if the atmosphere of Twin Peaks had been transferred to a natural environment. There is something dark and yet attractive about these scenarios, which are a space for play, mystery, and imagination. Occasionally, we encounter interior scenes where the curtains allow the room to become enigmatic.

Influences
Beyond all these references, one of Ribes' main influences can be found in cinema. When we look at his paintings, we can easily imagine more complete scenes where these characters undergo transformative experiences. Through decontextualized pieces and figures as well as hidden objects or landscapes, the artist challenges us to see beyond the painting, beyond the limit, and discover where our intuition leads us.
The artists who influence Ribes include photographer Jeff Wall for his detailed and cinematic images, Neo Rauch, and David Hockney for their graphic style.

Exhibitions
Jordi Ribes has participated in 23 group exhibitions in the last 10 years, has 5 awards and was present at 14 art fairs.
For example; "Galería Senda" in Barcelona and "L2" in Palma, as well as in group exhibitions at venues such as "Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo" (Madrid), "Arts Santa Mònica" (Barcelona), "Palais de Tokyo" (Paris), "Galerie Lelong" (Paris), "Galería Oliva Arauna" (Madrid), and 2Tecla Sala2 (L’Hospitalet, Barcelona). Awarded the Altadis Prize, his works is part of collections including "Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo", "Patronato Martínez Guerricabeitia", "Fundación Altadis", "Fundación Vila Casas", "Fundación Guasch Coranty", "Fundación Medianoche", "Recharge Foundation" (Singapore), "Victoria Collection" (Miami and Johannesburg), "Ding YiXiao-Xiao Foundation" (China), and "Tbilisi Art Centre" – John Dodelande Art Collection.

Über "Welcome to the Jungle"

The Nike MAG "Back to the Future", much like many popular sneaker designs, has been produced in limited quantities, which has helped to sustain its popularity due to its exclusivity.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,481 EUR in 5 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: With just 3.2% annual total costs (including exit fees), your net profit could be 24.3% per year.
  • An Icon👟: The Nike Air Mags are not just sports shoes, but a symbol of the timeless fascination with 'Back to the Future'. With a futuristic design, they laid the groundwork for such revolutionary innovations. Due to their limited availability (1,500 pairs) and iconic status, they are indispensable for sneaker enthusiasts and movie fans alike.

Why invest in Nike sneakers?
Founded in 1964 by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, Nike is one of the leading brands in sportswear globally. It is known for its technological innovations in athletic footwear and its constant presence in pop and urban culture.
The 80s didn't just create one of the biggest sci-fi spectacles in cinema history with the ""Back to the Future"" film trilogy; they also brought some of the world's most coveted collectibles to life. This includes the Nike MAG ""Back to the Future"" sneaker and, of course, the levitating hoverboard. The Nike MAG ""Back to the Future"" sneakers are a highly coveted and iconic sneaker design inspired by the movie ""Back to the Future Part II."" They were designed by Tinker Hatfield and released by Nike in 2011. The design was a futuristic interpretation of what sneakers might look like in 2015, as depicted in the movie.

Why invest in the Nike MAG Back to the Future?
Let's rewind to the year 2011, approximately 30 people are invited to a secret Nike event in LA. Rumors swirl about a small tour of the Universal Studios centered around 'Back To The Future'. But the true highlight of the day comes at the end: Mark Parker and Tinker Hatfield deliver a presentation and unveil the Nike MAG. The shoes were not just a regular release; they were part of a limited edition charity auction to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, reportedly, Nike has produced 1500 units.
The Nike MAG stands as a meticulous reproduction, nearly flawless in its execution. Notably, the LED lights, capable of illuminating for up to 5 hours on a single charge, deserve recognition. Currently, the only missing component is the AutoLace system, famously depicted in the movies. Looking ahead, in 2016, Nike introduced an adaptive system called Adaptive Fit, which recognizes the wearer and adjusts accordingly, or loosens. Nevertheless, the MAG 'Back To The Future' retains its distinctive allure. As the inaugural model, it laid the groundwork for such groundbreaking innovations. Furthermore, it illustrates how once-fictional cinematic technology can evolve into coveted luxury collector's items. The MAG 'Back to the Future' stands as one of the most exclusive treasures for enthusiasts and collectors of contemporary pop culture. Due to their limited availability and iconic status, the Nike MAG sneakers have become highly sought after by collectors. The original auctioned pairs are incredibly rare and have fetched high prices at auctions. Some pairs have sold for tens of thousands of dollars, with prices varying based on factors such as condition and size.

Why invest in Banksy?

Banksy's Urban Interventions
Banksy, perhaps the most famous figure in street art working today, is known for urban interventions that demonstrate irreverent wit and biting political edge. Enhancing his mystique by maintaining an anonymous identity, the artist has modified street signs, illegally printed his own currency, and illicitly hung his own work in the Louvre and the Museum of Modern Art. He often uses spray paint and stencils in his critiques of consumerism, political authority, terrorism, and the status of art and its display. His street art, installations, and studio-produced works have been shown in Los Angeles, New York, London, Bethlehem, and beyond. His art has been subject to widespread interest on the secondary market and has fetched eight figures at auction.
Banksy declares art to be his weapon in the fight for peace and democratic freedom. He invites viewers to choose their own weapon—whether through art or other means—to effect change.

Why invest in "Choose Your Weapon" (Light Orange) ?

Disaffected Youth and Gang Culture
First appeared in life-size scale on the wall of a pub in Bermondsey, South London, in 2010. The work refers to the increase in gang violence in the UK and the adoption of dogs trained to aggressively attack. Portraying man’s best friend acting as his weapon, the image is a commentary on the disaffected youth of modern Britain.

The Naïve Dog
The dog’s naive style emphasizes detachment from the reality of its weapon-like abilities. Banksy’s barking dog pays homage to Keith Haring’s iconic dog motif from the 1980s. Haring’s colorful canines symbolized authoritarian governments and abuses of power.

Hooded Figure
An aloof, hooded figure stands casually with one hand in their pocket. The figure’s menacing appearance contrasts with their nonchalant posture. The figure tightly grips the leash of a big, barking cartoon dog.

Why Invest in Móyòsóré Martins' Art?

Artistic Creation and Influences
Móyòsóré Martins is a New York-based Nigerian contemporary artist taking the art world by storm. He’s a renaissance man who dabbles in graphics, product design, and music. Moyo’s paintings are profoundly narrative and embody his personal journey. He embodies his traditional Afro-cultural, spiritual roots and fashion-forward sense of aesthetics.

Artistic Development and Style
Born of Brazilian descent with both parents from Ekiti state, Nigeria, Moyo developed a sense of mixed cultural independence from his family’s tribal roots and developed his artistic vision from his travels and upbringing. Inspired by the streets of London and New York, his college years in Ghana and Ivory Coast blend into his artwork while expressing his Yoruban cultural roots. Moyo is self-taught and is primarily influenced by his internal vision and not necessarily by other artists. For him, his work is spiritual in nature and represents his wishes and dreams and his path forward.

Artistic Approach and Technique
Móyòsóré Martins bridges abstract, figurative, and iconographic symbolism. He expresses the beauty in the figure and the depth of its subject; he obsesses with a cartoon-like character that imbues his iconography and that has a deep symbolic meaning. His approach is narrative and realistic in the early works, returning to his childhood memories. The African statue is always present and spiritually meaningful in his work. He is fascinated with contemporary plastic toy statues and collectibles from artists like Kaws, representing everything different in juxtaposition to the traditional Yaruba figures. A seminal work, “Watchman,” resonates; the painting is a study of the Yaruba figure and is interpreted by Martins as the man taking on his destiny, with a nod to his experience while employed as a night watchman in the Bronx—a lasting impression.

Spiritual Canvas
Moyo expresses the emotion of the characters he deftly paints, the backgrounds layered, manipulated, scratched, and then infused with text. He places himself in the canvas, in the artwork, in spirit and name, even his birthdate. He scribbles words, mathematical formulas, mantras, and prayers. He visually expresses his internal conversation, which shifts as his world does as a visual biography. He resists being put in a box. His unique use of materials and story is the cord that ties his work together. As his craft and career expand, he looks back, reflecting on his path and where he has come from, both as a person and artistically. Entrenched with personal symbolism, every element of a painting has a purpose and a specific meaning to him, much like a morse code. The eyes symbolize his own spiritual “all-seeing”; the clusters of floating eyeballs represent a feeling that all eyes are on him, being “seen,” his work being seen. The mouth, large and slightly aggressive, describes the intensity of the experience of people talking about him. The etched words are like a mantra to manifest his vision.

Impact on the Art Market
Prices for Moyosore Martins' paintings sized 180 x 150 cm have progressed over the past three and a half years from $5,000 to the current $27,500. His works have been collected by more than 125 collectors, with about 170 paintings sold during this period. He has become somewhat of a cult figure.
