Broad and low spread of funds – bottles range from low hundreds to EUR 5,000 – sales in this value range make up 49% of the Market by volume and 81% by value

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 943 EUR in 7 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: After deducting 2.6% in annual total costs (including exit fees), your net return could reach 9.5% per year.
  • Well Balanced 🥃 : This Macallan collection features legendary age statements and rare editions, offering unique investment potential with historic releases and exclusive bottles. A low-risk opportunity with significant appreciation potential.
Valuation Summary 📝
To ensure the competitiveness of the investment, we conducted a thorough verification of the purchase price by analyzing recent auction prices. Our analysis confirmed that the price offered, inclusive of all associated fees, is highly competitive as it is 3% below the 12-month auction average. To estimate the potential ROI, we used the average annual price increase of the RareWhisky 101 Macallan index and the average price increase of the individual bottles. For our conservative scenario, we assumed the value would grow at the rate of Swiss inflation, reflecting a defensive approach. In the balanced scenario, we used the RareWhisky 101 Macallan index price increase over the last 12 years. Finally, in the ambitious scenario, we calculated the average growth of the individual bottles since release.

Exit Options at Maturity 🚪
We will manage the exit strategy on behalf of our investors, ensuring the best possible outcome based on market conditions at the time. Depending on the prevailing market situation, the bottles will be sold to private collectors or offered as single lots at a whisky auction. An auction is considered if the price has developed to the point where the minimum bid matches the market value and there is high demand for these bottles. Both options are carefully considered, and we will choose the one that maximizes the return for our investors.

Why Invest in This Category? 🥃
There are many reasons why investors should consider rare bottles of whisky as one of the best alternative investment opportunities. Rare whisky has been by far the top performer among luxury goods for some time. Its value has risen over 384% in the past 12 years and is not directly tied to stock market conditions. So while equities could experience significant price corrections, whisky would steadily increase in value over time.

Why Invest in This Asset? 💎
This Macallan collection offers a remarkable opportunity for whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike. It features a curated selection that spans iconic age statements, modern classics, and rare limited editions. The collection includes highly sought-after bottles like the Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak releases from 2021 and 2022, celebrated for their legendary status and exquisite quality. The Macallan Replica Series, with its complete 6-bottle vertical, showcases an ambitious attempt to recreate historic Macallan bottles from the 19th century, earning critical acclaim despite some controversy over authenticity. The Macallan Oscuro Lalique Kazak Rearing Horse is a rare gem, with only 300 sets ever released, and is notable for its unique Lalique glass sculpture. Additionally, the Macallan 1824 Collection Decanter MMIX Limited Release stands out for its rarity and luxurious presentation, with only 17 sales recorded since 2009. Finally, the Macallan Edition Series represents modern innovation in whisky, highlighting the versatility of Macallan's cask maturation and offering excellent growth potential in the collector’s market. Each component of this collection not only tells a story but also represents a valuable investment with strong potential for appreciation.

Context in Time ⏳
Rare whisky has consistently outperformed other luxury goods, with its value rising 384% over 12 years. Unlike equities, its growth is steady and less affected by market fluctuations.

Conclusion 🎯
This is somewhat of a low-risk investment given that the collection has a spread of values from low hundreds to just over EUR 5,000. Having two complete sets, very rare limited editions, and some very high age statements to boot, this collection is a well-rounded and interesting proposition.

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 1,522 EUR in 5 years.

  • International Representation 🌠 : Investing in Jon Merz offers the opportunity to capitalise on his growing market presence and accessibility, as his increasing international exposure through prestigious exhibitions and upcoming gallery partnerships is expected to drive demand and significantly boost his prices.

Valuation Summary 📝

To ensure the competitiveness of the investment, we conducted a thorough verification of the purchase price by analyzing recent gallery transactions. Our analysis confirmed that the price offered, inclusive of all associated fees, is highly competitive. To estimate the potential ROI, we used the average annual price increase of the paintings over the past five years and factored in the potential of additional growth due to the international representation that will only start soon. For our conservative scenario, we assumed the value of the painting would grow at the rate of Swiss inflation, reflecting a defensive approach. In the balanced scenario, we calculated the average growth of primary market prices over the past 5 years and added 33% of the expected additional growth due to the international representation. Finally, in the ambitious scenario, we calculated the average growth of the primary market prices over the past 5 years and added 100% of the expected additional growth due to the international representation.

Exit Options at Maturity 🚪

We will manage the exit strategy in collaboration with our expert M&A Arts on behalf of our investors, ensuring the best possible outcome based on market conditions at the time. For centuries, art was collected for its cultural, emotional, intellectual, political, and economic value. Investing in emerging artists offers a mix of financial potential and personal satisfaction, making it an appealing option for both new and seasoned collectors.

Why Invest in This Asset? 💎

Investing in Jon Merz's artwork presents a compelling opportunity due to his strong historical performance and future growth potential. Over the past five years, the prices of his 200 x 150 cm paintings have more than doubled, increasing from CHF 7,000 in 2020 to CHF 15,000 in 2024, showcasing a 114% rise. This trend is supported by Merz’s expanding market presence, with numerous solo and group exhibitions, including a prestigious show at Château de Gruyères and an upcoming exhibition at Galerie Lange + Pult. Moreover, a forthcoming collaboration with a major international gallery is expected to elevate his profile globally, driving further price appreciation. Merz’s recognition has been bolstered by awards and nominations, including being a finalist for the 2024 Swiss Art Awards. With increasing demand from both collectors and institutions, and his growing accessibility in new markets, his work represents a significant investment with strong potential for continued appreciation.

Description about this asset 🖼️

Jon Merz is a Swiss Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1981 in Neuchâtel. Merz, who lives in Berlin and Basel, trained at the Bern University of the Arts and the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts. He has been exhibiting his work in Switzerland and abroad over ten years. He can almost be seen as a painter with an easel and a summer hat in the outdoors, almost as if he were a 19th-century Impressionist. However, the paintings depicted in his immediate surroundings resemble Expressionism and occasionally Symbolism. The works appear classically styled, almost in the manner of Old Masters, showing a strong art historical influence. Much of it feels somewhat familiar, yet at the same time, it is extremely surprising and refreshing, especially when one is aware of the artist’s earlier work, such as his monochrome-painted wooden cubes from the early 2010s or his constructions made from plywood boards, steel rods, and other materials from hardware stores. These early pieces, which fluctuate between paintings and early objects, evoke movements like Post-Minimalism and the Conceptual Art of the 1970s, as well as Hard Edge or Color Field painting. They also recall German artists like Joseph Beuy’s students Imi Knoebel and Blinky Palermo. Like them, Merz emerges as a new representative of constructivist, non-objective art – a kind of Constructivism 3.0. So how can this seemingly strong transformation be explained? Merz has always focused on the spiritual and intellectual aspects of art. He studied industrial design in Paris and then art in Bern, Berlin and Hamburg. In modernism, it was evident that some sought the spiritual in the clarity of geometry, while others found it in the lyrical and expressive. It seems that Merz, spurred by a recent engagement with illustration, graphics, and craftsmanship, has now landed on the other side – the side of the passionate, vibrant visual artist who pours his heart into his work. The artist was nominated for the Swiss Art Awards 2024 and has benefited from several residencies. In 2024 alone, he has been featured in five shows, including the museum-quality exhibition at Château de Gruyères, which runs until October 27th and showcases the three paintings of this offering.
Merz's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and art shows, and institutions, such as the Bern Cantonal Bank, have begun acquiring his pieces.

Valuation Summary 📝
To ensure the competitiveness of the investment, we conducted a thorough verification of the purchase price by analyzing recent gallery transactions and current auction results. Our analysis confirmed that the price offered, inclusive of all associated fees, is still highly competitive. To estimate the potential ROI, we used the average auction results of same-sized paintings by Duncan Robert McCormick and compared them to the purchase price. For our conservative scenario, we assumed the value of the painting would grow at the rate of Swiss inflation, reflecting a defensive approach. In the balanced scenario, we calculated the average growth of the painting taking into account the average auction results, and then discounted it by 40% to account for the risk of not replicating past auction results. Finally, in the ambitious scenario, we applied 100% of the average auction results for same-sized paintings over the last two years compared to our purchase price, reflecting an optimistic outlook that assumes the painting will continue to appreciate in line with its historical trend.

A rare, full vertical collection of 1st edition German Charizard cards, including PSA 9 and PSA 10 gems, poised for value growth as Pokémon anniversaries approach.

Main reasons to invest:

  • Return Potential📈: An investment of 500 EUR is projected to be worth approximately 819 EUR in 6 years.
  • Cost-to-Return Ratio⚖️: After deducting 1.8% in annual total costs (including exit fees), your net return could reach 8.6% per year.
  • Most Popular Card 🔥: The German 1st edition Charizard cards offer a unique investment opportunity due to their rarity, historical significance, and status as one of the most popular cards in the Pokémon TCG base set. With anniversaries in 2026 and 2029 likely to boost demand, this collection holds strong appreciation potential.

📊 Valuation Summary

To validate the purchase price, we conducted an in-depth analysis of recent transactions for the cards on eBay and reviewed currently available listings. For measuring the potential return on investment (ROI), we examined the historical price development of the English version of the card, focusing on PSA 9 and PSA 10 grades over the last five years.

In the realistic scenario, we identified a significant price increase starting in 2020 and peaking in 2021. We believe this pattern could repeat during the next anniversary, and thus, we used this period's price increase as a basis for calculating the weighted average ROI per annum.

For the optimistic scenario, we projected the prices to follow the same trend observed over the last five years but applied a 25% discount to account for the unique market conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

🎯 Exit Options at Maturity:

We plan to sell the cards between 2028-2030, leveraging the 30th-anniversary celebrations of Pokémon in 2026 and the 30-year mark since the release of the first edition in 2029. Two potential exit strategies include:

  • Private Sale: Targeting dedicated collectors through private sales to achieve the best possible returns.
  • Auction: Listing individual cards or the full collection on platforms like Heritage Auctions or eBay if market conditions and demand align favorably.

💡 Why Invest in This Category?

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) has proven to be a lucrative investment category, with its rare cards achieving record-breaking prices. As nostalgia grows among those who experienced Pokémon's initial rise in the 1990s, the demand for original and rare cards continues to increase, particularly around significant anniversaries. German cards, while historically trailing English versions in price, are expected to mirror their appreciation trends closely.

💎 Why Invest in This Asset?

This full vertical collection of German Charizard cards, graded from PSA 1 to PSA 10, represents a unique and comprehensive investment. The PSA 9 and PSA 10 cards, in particular, are extremely rare and highly sought after. Given that there are only 57 PSA 10 German Charizard cards in existence, compared to 124 in English, this collection's rarity cannot be overstated. With past sales of English PSA 10 cards reaching as high as USD499,000, the potential for value growth in the German market is significant.

📜 Historical Context:

First released in 1999, the 1st edition Charizard cards quickly became a cultural icon within the Pokémon community, thanks to Charizard's starring role in the franchise. As Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 and the first edition's 30-year milestone in 2029, these cards are positioned to capitalize on the nostalgia and collector enthusiasm that will undoubtedly surge.

🏆 Conclusion:

Investing in this collection of German Charizard cards offers a rare opportunity to participate in the appreciating Pokémon TCG market. While the German cards may not achieve the same exponential growth as their English counterparts, the anticipated anniversaries in 2026 and 2029 present a timely entry point for substantial gains. With a strategic exit plan between 2028 and 2030, this collection stands to be a rewarding addition to any investment portfolio.

Why Invest in Choi Myoung-Young?

Choi Myoung-Young is a leading figure in the Dansaekhwa movement and contemporary Korean art. Dansaekhwa, which translates as “monochrome painting,” was formalized in the 1970s in reference to Korean artists who redefined abstract painting in reaction to a turbulent socio-political environment.

Formative Years and Artistic Influences

Born in Haeju, Hwanghae-do, in 1941, Young defected to South Korea during the Korean War and grew up in Gunsan and Incheon. In 1957, he began studying art at Incheon National School of Education under master artist Chung Sanghwa, after which he entered the Hongik University College of Fine Arts in 1960 to study painting.

Evolution of Methodology and Style

After graduating from college in 1964, Young spent the remainder of the decade as a member of the art groups Origin Society (1963–1993), Korean Avant-Garde Association (A.G., 1970–1973), and École de Seoul (1975–1999), and participated in the likes of the Paris Biennale (1967) and São Paulo Biennale (1969) to set his foot in the art scene as an emerging artist.
Since the mid-1970s, Young has persistently explored using his body and the relationship between the canvas plane and the medium of paint under the theme of “Conditional Planes,” repeating and varying physical actions on top of the flat surface to understand painterly existence. In the mid-1970s, the artist produced what are known today as the “Sandpaper” and “Fingerprint” series.
Throughout the mid-1980s and the 1990s, Young’s repetitive movements took on vertical and horizontal orientations to settle as his unique methodology and style.

"Monotonous" Works

Young often uses the expression “monotonous” to describe his works. Creating superficial space composed of regular units—by performing repetitive actions within the frame of the blank, quadrilateral canvas—can be seen as a daily act of validating existence. The canvas as a background no longer distinguishes or restrains art and life. Just as the body and the mind are no longer subjects for distinction, the conditional plane is now an existential “platform,” an infinite space that serves to intertwine and reveal the artist’s repetitive actions. This is precisely why Young’s creative world is a demonstration of “controlling monotony,” something that ceaselessly flows toward infinite variations.

Conditional Planes

Series symbolizes Young’s artistic journey throughout his work, since the 1970s. This style emphasizes the flat surface of the canvas, aligning him with the Dansaekhwa paintings, which are characterized by geometric, simple, clear lines and forms in primary colors. Young’s particular style in this era was based on the idea of the creation and extinction of traces on canvas by using fingerprint and sandpaper.

Why Invest in This Tom Brady Card?

Prizm Gold: The Pinnacle of Tom Brady Cards

This Panini Prizm Gold card, limited to just 10 copies, is one of the most prestigious Tom Brady cards in existence. Prizm, a brand synonymous with Panini, is among the most recognizable and popular in the sports card hobby. Since its launch in 2012, Prizm has consistently featured some of the most sought-after cards. Within each Prizm set, there are base cards and various themed insert cards, but the Base card in Gold parallel, limited to just 10 copies, is always the most coveted—especially when it features a player like Brady, who is considered the greatest of all time (GOAT).

Historical Context and Market Impact

Prizm’s dominance in the Panini era stems from its high selling prices for top rookies, popular players, and GOATs. Additionally, the brand is popular for producng a large number of base and silver parallel cards in top grades, which also hold significant value collectively and featured prominently in collerctors of all levels. The highest-selling Prizm card to date is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s, which sold for $1.14 million. Notably, Brady’s first year Prizm Base 1/1 and Luka Dončić’s Prizm Base Black 1/1 RC have yet to be discovered, but they are expected to fetch even higher prices. The top sales for Prizm Gold cards of LeBron James, Lionel Messi and Tom Brady have reached $571,000, $522,000, and $264,000 respectively, setting the market's current ceiling for these three sports.

Exclusivity and Championship Significance

Tom Brady's Prizm Gold Base cards are extremely rare, with only 110 produced across 11 years from 2012 to 2022. Out of these, only 40 are from championship-winning years (2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020), making them even more valuable. This particular 2020 Prizm Gold is especially significant as it marks Brady’s first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, during which he won his 7th Super Bowl—more championships than any NFL team. This achievement also elevated him above Michael Jordan’s 6 championships, further solidifying his legendary status.

Design and Historical Significance

The design of the 2020 Prizm set stands out as one of the best in the brand's history. This year was the first Prizm release of the new decade, making it more significant to collectors. Additionally, 2020 was the debut year for Prizm in WWE, WNBA, and Blockchain, adding multiple layers of historical importance to the set. Because of Brady’s first appearance with the Buccaneers and the exceptional design, collectors widely agree that this 2020 Prizm Gold is among the top two Brady Prizm Golds ever released.

Brady’s Unparalleled Legacy

Tom Brady is universally recognized as the greatest quarterback in NFL history and is often considered the greatest athlete in any sport. Over his 23-year career, he set numerous NFL records, including most games won, most passing touchdowns, and most Super Bowl championships (7 out of 10 appearances). Brady’s legacy is unmatched, and this card represents one of the most important moments in his storied career.

Summary: A Truly Special Investment

  • Exclusivity and Rarity: Only 11 years of Brady Prizm Gold Base cards exist, with just 40 from championship-winning years—making this card part of an extremely exclusive group.
  • First Buccaneers Appearance and 7th Ring: This card commemorates Brady’s historic first season with the Buccaneers, where he won his 7th Super Bowl, surpassing Jordan and every NFL team in championships.
  • Exceptional Design: The 2020 Prizm set is not only beautifully designed but also marks significant firsts for the brand, adding to its historical significance.
  • Brady's GOAT Status: This card encapsulates Brady's unparalleled greatness in NFL history and beyond.
  • Enduring Value: As future Brady cards won’t feature him in his playing days, this card’s significance will only grow over time.
  • Condition Sensitivity: Due to centering from manufacturing, a PSA 8 grade from this well-preserved card graded under current strict standard is a nice grade and adds to its appeal.
  • Potential Market Triggers: The eventual discovery and sale of Brady’s 1/1 Prizm cards in 2012 and this 2020 year are likely to result in landmark sales and drive up the value of this already valuable Prizm Gold card.
